CLIC (Community Learning for Infection Control)
Solutions Group for Infection Control: Nisbet Lodge, Bridgepoint Health, Community Care East York, Neighbourhood Link, Toronto East General Hospital
This project will build on the standardized Infection Prevention and Control Core Competency Education Program developed by the MOHLTC in collaboration with the Ontario Hospital Association, the Ministry of Labour, the Provincial Infectious Disease Advisory Committee (PIDAC) and the Community and Hospital Infection Control Association (CHICA). In phase 1, an infection control learning module and video game ‘test’ were created. With an aim to keep this project scalable and sustainable in the event further modules are created, the game design program will partner with Solutions to create a new game development tool. This tool will allow the user to create simulated environments, where learners may test the application of what they have learned. With this tool, the Solutions group will develop games based on subject matter for the two new learning modules.
