Camino Modular Systems and GBC are collaborating on a project to reduce energy consumption in an office environment by controlling the temperature and air quality at a specific cubicle instead of the entire office space. By monitoring cubicle occupancy and user preferences, the right amount of heating/cooling energy can be controlled to create a comfortable environment

Design and Construction of a Building-Integrated Solar Thermal/Photovoltaic (BIST/PV) Test Hut

The Schools of Architecture and Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades from the Center for Construction and Engineering Technologies (CCET) at George Brown College are partnering with Amvic Building Systems, Kortright Centre (TRCA), and Ryerson University to design and build an integrated solar thermal / photovoltaic test hut located at the Kortright Centre.

The Minto Group: Four and Six Storey Wood Frame Condos – Phase 1

The Minto Group, a Canadian, integrated real estate development, construction and management company, is collaborating with George Brown College to develop new concepts for wall assemblies for four – six storey wood frame condos. By sourcing new ideas from GBC students, Minto hopes to identify cost effective wall assembly designs that meet both building code and LEED requirements, while creating superior homes for customers.

MGC are finalizing development of a new platform for building and community services which integrates video intercom, home automation and system integration for homes and condos.
