The Diabetes Portal

The Diabetes Portal was conceptualized by Dr. Michael Evans, Director of the Health Media Lab at St. Michael’s Hospital, as a web-based portal for patients to access information on the complex issues around diabetes in a variety of approachable electronic formats. As diabetes affects a wide variety of individuals in terms of age, sex, cultural background, and St. Michael’s Family Practice see a diverse patient base (street-involved, paediatric to geriatric, etc.) it is essential that the portal content speak to diverse users.
