Voice Recognition Interactive Voice Response (IVR) for Home Automation

The goal of this project with Canadian Computer Technology is to develop a system that addresses the increased demand for home systems to provide interactive systems inside the house to control household devices and incorporate additional services that factor in healthcare and long term disability needs. The student team will develop and integrate a Interactive Voice Recognition system based on open source VoIP PBX (Private Switch Exchange). This system will be integrated into the home control system that was developed by another successful OCE Connections student project last year. The developed system would run in real time, accepting verbal or vocal commands to control various household devices and services. Students will have to develop the user interface and the control scripts using HTML, XML, and PHP.
