Cheese Boutique Web Site Development
The Cheese Boutique
This project is to design and program a new web site for Cheese Boutique that highlights their upcoming Festival of Chefs event. Cheese Boutique is a retail store that specializes in high end food products with selling and finishing cheeses being their main focus. At this time Cheese Boutiques website has not been redesigned since its implementation in 2002 and as such is lacking many features that a web 2.0 site would typically have. Each year Cheese Boutique hosts a Festival of Chefs where local and celebrity chefs create dishes each weekend in May using Cheese Boutique ingredients and offer samplings to the public with all proceeds going to a local charity. George Brown College computer programmers and designers will create a new website for The Festival of Chefs that will incorporate social media, event listings and limited ecommerce capability as well as a brand new design that better reflects Cheese Boutique’s culture and a content management system so that Cheese Boutique employees can update the site. GBC researchers include Przemyslaw Pawluk, BEng, MSSE; as well as two computer programming students and a web design student from The School of Design.
