Vitruvian Sport Systems: Development of a Virtual Reality Cognitive Training Application
Vitruvian Sport Systems
Vitruvian Sports Systems (Virtuvian Sport) is a returning partner of George Brown College (GBC), and seeks to partner again with GBC to complete the design and development of their Zone 360 virtual reality (VR) cognitive training application for soccer. The project continues in-class work previously completed with GBC’s Game Design Program within the School of Design. Vitruvian Sport is a Toronto based software development company that is building virtual reality technology to provide strategic and mental training for soccer players. Their first product, Zone 360, leverages emerging hardware and software technologies to provide an interactive experience that will enhance a player’s understanding of strategies and improve the quality and quickness of their decision making in game situations. In collaboration with Vitruvian Sport, the GBC research team will design, develop and test a desktop application and two mobile applications to support Zone 360. Virtuvian Sport has engaged Domenco Caronzo, faculty in the Game Design Program, School of Design, to lead the research team consisting of one student leader and three student researchers also from the Game Design Program.
